What we collect

co-Note collects only the information necessary to operate the platform:

• Your name and email address, provided via Google sign-in.
• Essay submissions and feedback created within the platform.
• Usage data such as session timestamps and assignment activity.

How we use it

• To authenticate you and associate your work with your account.
• To display submissions and feedback to you and your teacher.
• To improve platform reliability and performance.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your submissions to train AI models.

Data storage

Data is stored securely on servers within the EU/US. File uploads (images, audio) are stored in Cloudflare R2. We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

Practice results

If you sign in while using the guided practice pages, we store your practice results (which practice page, the score, and when) with your account so you can see your progress and what to work on next. If you don't sign in, results stay in your browser only. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and localStorage for UI preferences. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. Contact us at [email protected].

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
